So, a few months ago, I stumbled across a pretty awesome picture on Reddit. It was this one here:
I'm a huge Batman fan. In fact he's my hands-down favorite super hero. Also, The Dark Knight is my favorite of the Batman movies, so naturally I thought it was pretty damn awesome, but just a little off.
See, pretty much as soon as I saw it I decided that I wanted to make a poster out of it, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I wanted something that was closer to the original Pac-Man game, and also captured Heath Ledger's Joker better. So I made my own:
The new version is on a black field with the same pixel dimensions as the original Pac-Man arcade game using the same grid, sizing, and font - at least the letters I was able to find pictures of. I also started off of a re-creation of the original ghost sprite.
More perceptive observers might also notice that my Joker-Ghost is sitting in Blinky's starting position.
I already said I'm making a poster. It's going to be hand-made by cutting the shapes out of layers of colored construction paper. Six layers to be precise - Black, white, green, red, black, then white. The reason for the extra B/W layers, as you may have guessed, is to avoid floating pieces. Things like the eyes and the space inside the P's and A's will just be cut through to the back layers.
I'll be posting pictures of the stages and completed project here so that anyone else who thinks this is awesome can see the end product and how I did it.
